Ram trucks normally have flickering issues!

RAM trucks have complicated wiring. It’s just a fact. If you’ve tried installing Ram LED or HID headlight bulbs, you know what we’re talking about. It’s all too common to end up with flickering headlights, headlights that work for only a few moments and then turn off, or annoying “bulb out” warnings on the dash. It sucks.

Headlight Revolution originally had a system to install LED headlight bulbs that used resistor harnesses but installing and finding a place to mount the resistors could be tricky. However, now Headlight Revolution has put together a simpler, plug-and-play 2006-2008 RAM truck LED headlight install.

We start with the GTR Lighting Ultra Series LED Headlight bulbs which work well with the RAM CANBUS wiring system. These bulbs have a modern 6,000K white color, and 3,700 raw lumens per bulb, and 1,800 effective lumens. Install these LED bulbs in the headlight housings just like a normal halogen bulb, but make sure to point the reflector cup on the bulb up like a bowl.

On the end of the Ultra Series LED Headlight Bulb, attach the GTR Lighting PWM Interface Module. PWM stands for Pulse Width Modulation and it allows for halogen bulb dimming, reducing alternator/battery electrical usage load, and is a very popular control method in modern vehicles.

These modules were developed specifically for integrating aftermarket LED headlight bulbs into the headlights of vehicles that operate with PWM technology. Then plug in the other end on the PWM module to the truck’s headlight wiring. It’s that easy.

Look at the before and after photos of the LED headlight bulbs in the RAM:

We measured original factory halogen bulbs from the RAM at 25 feet, and measured 678 Lux.

We measured the GTR Lighting Ultra Series bulbs in the RAM at 25 feet, and measured 1,284 Lux. That’s an increase in brightness by 190%!
